Description

1. The Rev. William Bates late of Bridgnorth now of Willey, clerk, and William Coley of Bridgnorth surgeon

Recital of lease and release 31 January and 1 February 1825 (S.R.O.1267/24-25) and will of John Stanier (see endorsement S.R.O.1267/25) Dethick died 22 December 1833 and was buried at Oldbury co Salop. Anne Edwards the mother died August 1840 and was buried at Wolverhampton.

All debts and legacies have been paid except the £12,000. George Stanier's annuity has been paid up to date

Anne Edwards has contracted to sell the fee simple to Presland, subject to the £12,000 mortgage debt, the annuity, and land tax of £10.12.4; and a modus of 10s p.a. to the vicar of Albrighton in lieu of tithes.

Lease and release (intended to be enrolled in Chancery pursuant to the statute for abolition of fines and recoveries) of the manor of lordship of Cosford otherwise Gosford, Cosford Grange, (formerly Bartholomew Martin and Giles Martin, afterwards Edward Martin, Orlando Stubbs, Christopher Dickenson, and William Wood successively, now of Francis Southern), and lands in Cosford, Albrighton and Donnington; water corn mill of the site of a water corn mill with lands (formerly John Wheeler, now John Shenton); to use of Presland his heirs and assigns for ever, discharged from all estates tail of Anne Stanier and as to the land within the parish of Albrighton, discharged from tithes; but subject to the mortgage, the annuity, the land tax and the modus

Memorandum that by indenture 25 April 1842, the land called Ferny field (30.2.5), Lower Hell Bank (29.2.7), and Bog meadow (9.1.11) and part of Middle Hell Bank as fenced out (9.3.25) were sold and conveyed by Thomas Plowden Presland and the mortgagees of his estate to George Holyoake of Neachley esq. Presland entered into a covenant for payment of the annuity to George Edwards alias Stanier and indemnify Holyoake.
