Political and secret letters and enclosures from the Bombay Government to the Secretary of State for India in London - copies of the Secretary of State's answering dispatches are included from 1897. The enclosures comprise extracts of proceedings, correspondence, reports, minutes etc relating to the subjects raised in the letters. All the volumes have indexes. Note:- correspondence relating to the Princely States of the Bombay Presidency 1882-1902 has been extracted from Vols 22-49 of this series and renumbered as L/PS/7/395-421.
