This group was established in 1952, with just over 30 members, meeting at the Heaton Park Liberal Club in Bury Old Road, and later at premises in Grey St, Prestwich. The group was involved with various fund-raising, lobbying and information activities relating to mobility for disabled people, as well as social events member's. The local group was wound up in 1997, and its assets transferred to the national organisation.
