Hardback notebook labelled on spine 'Inorganic chemistry (1)' and inscribed on second page 'Chemistry Volume I Christmas 1917'. Used for notes for School Certificate syllabus (and 'Little-Go Syllabus'). Paginated 1-111 with list of contents at front. A little loose material at back.
Pasted onto first page is press-cutting 'Our chemists' victories' detailing success of British chemistry during the First World War with a note by Needham on one of those mentioned in the piece 'Sir Henry Jackson was my Professor of Chemistry at King's College Summer Term 1918'.
