During the Blitz in WW11 Samuel Fewings served as a Firewatcher and was at Smithfield Market on the 11/05/1941, he was severely injured during the bombing and died later that day in hospital. He was the husband of Olive M Fewings 60 Red Post Hill, Herne Hill, London and the son of Mrs Hetty Fewings of Eastwick Drive, Bookham, Surrey.
