Description

Counterpart release (lease missing) of the Manor of Hutton John for £4600 by Andrew Hudleston, Esq., only son and heir of the late [Counsellor] Andrew Hudleston and Mary his widow (née Fenton), to Charles, Duke of Norfolk; co-parties, Mary Hudleston, widow, her daughters Joyce and Isabella, John Robinson of Watermillock, Esq. Henry Addison of Penrith, gent., and the Rev Wilfred Hudleston of Whitehaven - reciting the indenture of 12 Dec. 1787 by the devisees in trust of the late Andrew Hudleston [the Counsellor]; and that the Duke of Norfolk has undertaken to pay the annuity of £60 for life to Miss Joyce Hudleston, and £1000 each to Misses Mary and Isabella Hudleston, and £1461 to John Robinson, leaving Andrew the vendor with £1139 of the consideration money, he finding the £44 annuity for his mother under her marriage settlement
