Description (What the record is about)
-
Letters from James Watt Jr. to William Creighton, head of the Drawing Office, from January to June 1821. Letters from the second half of 1821 will be found in the next bundle. The bundle also includes a letter from Matthew Robinson Boulton to Creighton, dated 8 June.
This bundle and the next were examined by Henry Hazleton in the 1890s, as they have card covers in the same style as the previous large bundles. From discolouring on the top and bottom letters, it appears that Hazleton was preserving a division that had been made by Creighton.
