Collection of 59 items, mostly relating to the Royal Monmouthshire R.E. (Militia) during the South African, First and Second World Wars. These include research notes on individuals, and copies of personal accounts detailing training in the UK and service in France and Palestine 1914-18, also an account describing the retreat of the BEF to Dunkirk, May 1940. There is also correspondence with German officers in the 1960's relating to their recollections of actions at Ypres in 1914 and 1915.
