1 Development A Bentley 3-litre motor car: We agreed to Colonel Siddeley's suggestion that available parts should be stored at Quinton Road. B New car proposals: Brochure 4 November 1949. It now appears that instructions have been issued for the manufacture of 12 engines as follows: (a) Three 3.4-litre engines with hemispherical type combustion chamber. (b) Three 3.4-litre engines with squish type combustion chamber. (c) Three 2.4-litre engines with hemispherical type combustion chamber. (d) Three 2.4-litre engines with squish type combustion chamber. Extracts from the report. 2 Miscellaneous development proposals: I asked that the latest electrical gearbox control be submitted to one or two of the more important distributors for their opinions, and that a combined recommendation should be available on or before the 20th September.
