Recital of 2 Jan 19 Charles II (1668)
(1) Eliezer Careswell, Francis Hinde and Hugh Tomkys
(2) Richard Lynall of Shiffnall yeoman (since decd.)
Demise of all their portions and right to a messuage or cottage in Grindle (Gilbert Harrison and Symon Tyler) and in "the forge poole, water water Course and ground thereon Forge Iron Smythy or Iron Mill, Millstankes, banks, Fludgates and dames of the poole Called Grindle poole" and to a plot of ground near the iron mill or forge on the SE and W of the mill "in which peece or place of ground Charcoles and Sowes of Iron were and are usually brought carried and layde"; from Michaelmas last for 4 years at peppercorn rent.
Cons: a competent sum of money and that Careswell has at his own expense prosecuted suits to recover the property "and is like to spend more in defence thereof". Counterpart lease of his part of the property after the term of 4 years granted to Lynall for a term of 1000 years. Rent 1d at feast of St. John Baptist.
