Two 38 horse power side lever boat engines.Cross-section of the boat and engines, plan of the engine sleepers, plan of the engine room deck beams, longitudinal section of the engine room and boiler - reverse drawings made in the London office; lower headstock frame for 30 and 35 horse engines, upper headstock for 38 horse engines - partially shaded original and partially shaded reverse drawings; plan and section of coal boxes; sketch of corrugated iron fenders by James Brown; note and sketch re working gear shafts from Gilbert Hamilton to Hollins Hunt, with Hunt's reply on the same sheet. All these drawings except those made in the London office and the last 2 items bear letter codes.
Also the following later items: elevation and plan of blow off pipes - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings made in the London office, Apr. 1841; sections and plan of decks, boiler, engine room etc. - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings made in the London office, Jan. 1850; tracing of blow off cock made in the London office, Apr. 1851; plan and sections of the engines, boiler, deck etc. - coloured original and coloured reverse drawings made in the London office, May 1856. For the Corporation of Trinity House, London. The engines were made as 35 horse engines but adapted to 38 horses when sold to Trinity House.
