These volumes contain drafts of letters in English together with Arabic and Persian translations from the Political Resident at Bushire to British Native Agents, Persian officials and members of ruling families, as well as merchants, British Indian subjects and others. Events covered within these files include the Anglo-Persian War (1856-1857), the Ottoman reconquest of Eastern Arabia (1871-1873), and the Great Persian Famine (1870-1871).
