Newscutting from the Camberley News and Bagshot Observer (undated) of a 1,900 mile journey by Mr Hutton-Stott, Events Secretary of the Veteran Car Club, and his wife, in his veteran Lanchester car, from Silverstone to Le Touquet, followed by a tour of France and Switzerland. Report of a 1902, 12 hp Lanchester car which also took part in the Veteran Car Club rally at Le Touquet, driven by Mr. G. A. Upton. This latter car was referred to as 'The Octopod' in one of Rudyard Kipling's stories.
