Indenture, lease.

(1) Anthony Stoughton of St. Johns, Warwick, esq.

(2) Rich. Weale of Warwick, freemason.

For divers good causes and considerations (1) to (2) a house or tenement with a garden and all beast commons, common of pasture and appurts. now in tenure of (2) in parish of St. Mary's, Warwick, between the house and land of Hen. Smith on south, the house & land of Hen. Moore on north, the street or highway on east and land of Mr. John Yardly on west. Term 35 years, rent 20s. per annum and a couple of fat and well fed capons on St. Andrews day. Provision for re entry if rent in arrears. (2) covenants at own cost to erect build and set up the messuage or tenement which he has in hand, to dig a convenient seller within the ground and to build the cottage "so large and so square" as formerly the messuage was built (in the same place where the messuage has been taken down), with 2 chimneys and 3 chambers above stayres, (1) allowing all the great rough timber for the building and delivering it to site; (2) to maintain and repair rebuilt messuage as often as necessary, and surrender it at end of term.
