He has acquainted Mr. Griffiths with what Hill directed in his last touching his sister Nancy Hill and her portion which Hill proposes to be £1,250. He insists that the fortune is not equal to what his estate deserved. His wife's portion was to be employed in improving the estate and not in the payment of debts. He did not think of less than £2,000 "But I doe believe hee hath an Affection for her wch may bring him to accept of a less sum". He will approach Griffiths again if Hill wishes. He has provided a parcel of carp to stock the new ponds which shall be conveyed there as soon as he has leisure to see it done.
He hopes that by this time Joseph has finished all his planting.
Mr. Dicken has the writings for Hill to execute Directed for the Honble. Mr. Hill.
