The note brings up to date the report on Python inner blade ring failures dated 4 October 1955. 1. Investigation of engine P.217. This engine was returned to Armstrong Siddeley Motors from Hal Far, Malta, in June 1955, with reported loss of power accompanied by vibration and high jet pipe temperature 2. P.15: This engine has recently been returned on expiration of its overhaul period. On stripping, it was found that the inner blade ring was cracked in the radius of the flange over a considerable proportion of the circumference. The engine had completed 191 hours flight 3. Modification P.153: Improved turbine cooling
