Memoranda of census figures 1801, 1811. Notes in 1801 as follows:
'This was a year of great Scarcity, and the amount of the Poor Rates from Easter 1800 to Easter 1801 was £838.18s.10d.'
'Wheat was sold at £45 per load of 10 comb and the quartern loaf at 1s. 11d.'
[1 comb = 4 bushels, or 252 lbs.]
At end of volume:
Shudy Camps charity lands renewal of trust 14 February 1783.
Copy of deed in Trinity College Treasury, concerning appointment of six new trustees to supervise the management of the Manages (8 acres pasture) and King's Acre (1 acre arable) for the benefit of the poor. Instructions given that the Manages 'be not ploughed ayred broken up or converted into tillage at any time' and that the King's Acre 'be from time to time .... dressed and manured in an orderly and husband like manner with good rotten muck and other compost and kept in good heart and plight'.
