These records, referred to as Wakefield Library Local History Collections, have come from a variety of sources and have differing class numbers, most of which are noted with the descriptions. The generic LHC reference number ('Local History Collections') is not one in use at the library.

William Gill Hare of Kettlesing, Felliscliffe, was born in 1836. He was later a farmer of 20 acres and a Justice of the Peace

Charles George Milnes, born 1842, was MP for the Morley division of the West Riding of Yorkshire 1885-1892. He was instrumental in the establishment of the public park in Wakefield to commemorate the marriage of the Duke of York to Princess Victoria Mary of Teck.
