Description

Letter from the Bishop of St.Asaph to Rev. R.J. Davies.

The living of Newtown is vacant and if Davies thinks it preferable to his present preferment the Bishop will have much pleasure in collating him to it; understanding that it is of greater value, he is induced to make him the offer, but he may be misinformed, the outgoings may not have been taken into consideration & they must exceed those of Aberhafesp, and with so large a population it may be necessary to have an assistant Curate.

Signed W. St.Asaph. Written from St.Asaph.

Directed to Aberhafesp.

With envelope.
