Description

Parties 1a) Charles Couling of Somerton, yeoman 1b) Mary, wife of 1a., late Mary Dew, widow of Martin Dew, late of Somerton, yeoman, deceased who d. intestate and was nephew and devisee in reversion of John Marten Watson, late of Somerton, gent. Deceased who was nephew and devisee in fee of Marian Cheney, late of Somerton, widow, deceased. 2a) John James Perry of Steeple Aston, surgeon. 2b) Avice, wife of 2a. nee Dew, one of the 2 daughters of Martin Dew deced.3) Louisa Mary Dew, of Somerton, spinster, another of the 2 daughters of Martin Dew deceased. 4) John Allcock of Syresham, Northants, yeoman. 5) Henry Churchill of Deddington, grocer. Recites document CH/CN/I/1 and that Marian Cheney died and the will was proved 1 July 1763. Recites document CH/CN/I/2 and that he died and the will was proved 12 February 1806. Recites that Elizabeth, widow of John Marten Watson d. several yrs ago, and Marten Dew d. August 1808 intestate leaving 1b, then Mary Dew his widow, and 2b, then Avice Dew and 3. his only children surviving. Recites that 1b. and 2b. have since married. Now, in consideration of £140 paid to 1-3 by 4., they convey the premises (as document CH/CN/I/4) to him and his heirs for ever. Covenant to levy fine to 5.
