Overseas correspondence and report files: The Anglican Church of Canada

The correspondence covers the history and activity of the Mothers' Union in the dioceses in question, concerning in particular: personnel, membership criteria and the creation of branches; consitutional matters and conferences; financing, resourcing and training of MU Workers; teaching (moral and religious education including the Sunday School by Post scheme); contact with home branches including gifts sent; attitudes to marriage, divorce and family life; work among the indigenous Indian population; the effects of war on MU work. It should be noted that this description is indicative of the topics covered in the series and should not be taken to imply that every subject is covered in each diocesan file.
