Blue clothbound album measuring 252 x 360 mm, titled 'Postcards,' containing 207 postcards inserted four to a page in corner slits, plus 9 loose black-and-white photographs and 3 original drawings as well as cuttings from The Tatler and Black and White magazine. The postcards, presumably acquired in the course of a trip to India, represent topographical and architectural views of Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Marseilles, Port Said, the Suez Canal, Aden, Bombay, Elephanta, Karle Caves, Bijapur, Ahmadabad, Abu, Ajmer, Jaipur, Amber, Delhi, Amritsar, Kanpur, Agra, Sikandra, Fatehpur Sikri, Gwalior, Lucknow, Benares, Calcutta, Darjiling, Madras, Chidambaram, Tanjore, Trichinopoly, Madura, Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura, Djibouti, Tunis and Mandalay. The loose photographs represent: The Taj Mahal at Agra, the ghats at Benares, Safdar Jang's tomb at Delhi, the Golden Temple at Amritsar and an unidentified (?)tomb (at Sarkhej, Ahmadabad?).
