Lodge of Confidence was granted a warrant to meet by the Antients' Grand Lodge as No. 259 on 15 February 1790 and named in 1820. The Lodge met as No. 327 after the unions between the Antients' and the Moderns' Grand Lodges in 1813 to form the United Grand Lodge of England. It met as No. 228 from 1832 before meeting as No. 193 from 1863. When it was formed in 1790 the Lodge met at the Dolphin, Red Lion Street, Holborn, London. The Lodge moved to numerous inns and taverns around London but now meets at Freemasons' Hall, Great Queen Street, London.
