Book of Accompt of "the expensis and provisions of thousholde" of Edward Seymour, Viscount Beauchamp, at Chester Place and (from 1 May, f.84) Beauchamp Place, 16 Feb. 28 Hen. VIII-28 May, 29 Hen. VIII. [1537]. Signed "E. Beauchamp" (see ff. 9,14b, etc.).
The earlier part of the volume (ff.1-71) contains entries of the provisions, with prices, for each day's dinner and supper, together with the names of the guests.
The remaining entries are arranged under heads, as "Bakehous and pantrie", Bullrie and Cellerre", "Spicerie", "Kechyn and larder" etc., the total expenses being £233.19.7¾.
