Estimates for estate work (including building)

Correspondence received by the County Agricultural Officer (formerly'Disused Estimates' files series) concerning estimates, tenders and specifications sent by companies and traders for work required on smallholdings properties.The estimates include the following types of work: ordering and purchase of materials such as slag, fertilizer, drainage equipment etc.; building repairs and alterations to farms, cottages and other farm buildings, many involving local contractors and tradespeople; and general estate work such as erection of railway sleeper bridges, repairs to fences, gates and walls, hedge-cutting and drainage works.
