Brown cloth-bound photograph album measuring 182x220mm, with prints inserted in window mounts. The majority are captioned, and the front fixed endpaper is inscribed in pencil, 'Views of Simla, by Bertie'. Most of the photographs consist of general views of the hill station, although there are also three interesting views of a bullock train camped by the roadside at Simla Ghat (print 1), an ekka whose hood is marked 'Passenger Service, Simla Division' (print 2) and a European woman seated in a tonga (print 10).
