Description

To s. Wm. - Farndon copyhold:- 1 messuage and garden in occ. Benj. Faulkes, 2 messuages in New Lane in occ. Thos. Dickinson and Thos. Hinckley, and adjoining New Lane Close (1a.) in occ. testator.

Woodborough, all copyhold in occ. John Clay. Farndon Rectory estate leasehold held from prebendary of Lincoln, with provisions for renewal of leases, comprising:- Rectory in occ. Wm. and Edw. Buck; cottage and croft next Church Yard in occ. Rich. Wainwright; allotments in occ. Benj. Faulkes, i.e. 25a. in the Marsh, 34a. in New Hedge Furlong going into the New Pasture, 12a. at W. end of New Pasture, 51a. Dale with Rowlands, Redlands and Stedfold, 24a. Honney Meadow; Grime Close (8a.) in the Island and 3a. allotment in Low Tolney in occ. John Holland; allotments in occ. John Clayworth, Wm. and Edw. B. and Wm. Wingate (as specified), i.e. 2 of 25a. in the Marsh, 49a. called Carr Head Rigg Honney and South part of Dale in Honney Field, 46a. called Stanning Holme, the Meadow, Brackenhill and New Pasture, 21a. Mill Hill South Field, and 18a. on E. side Carr Dyke in Honney Meadow. From this estate Wm. to pay £40 to John s. of natural s. John Buck alias Clifton when 21, £40 p.a. for life to J.B. als. C., and £40 p.a. for life or till remarriage to wife Catherine in addition to £1 p.a. for life settled on her at marriage. In default of Wm.'s issue, all to s. Edward B., in default to John B. als. C.

To wife Catherine - Farndon copyhold new built messuage near Church in occ. of testator; for life or till remarriage, then to s. Edw.; in default of issue to J.B. als. C.

To s. Edw. further - Brant Broughton Lincs. freehold in occ. Jos. Brown, i.e., Forty Two Acres Closes bought from Brodhurst, 2 Clay Closes (8a.) from Bellamy and Ducks Mouth (6a.) from Sewel.

Farndon:- copyhold, 1 messuage in occ. John Clayworth and 1 messuage or Northern House and garden in occ. Thos. Innocent. In occ. of Wm. and Edw. B:- freehold, garden (24p.) and Conduit Close (1½a.); copyhold, Holme Close (5a.), Northern Close (1a.), Holme Close (4a.), 2 Middle Furlongs Closes (20a.), 3 Long Catworth and Three Thorns Closes (32a.), and close (5a.) in the Marsh. In default of Edw.'s issue, all to Wm., in default to J.B. als. C.

To wife, all household goods.

To Farndon poor, 40s.

To Wm., all residue of personal estate, he executor.

Codicil:- as Wm. has a disordered mind and has been or is under care of Dr. Willis at Gretford Lincs. and Dr. Arnold of Leicester, Edw. B. and Stephen Ashwell of Coddington, gent., to be his trustees, and hold real estate at 17s. 6d. pr. acre. They to be executors. If Wm. does not recover, Edw. to have residue of personal estate. Will: 15 July 1786.
