Description

These documents are an amalgam of strays from the series of vouchers to account in the archive of Rye Corporation and papers from the offices of Messrs Dawes, Son and Prentice, who also acted as Town Clerks. Similar material remains (2004) at Rye Museum.

The references by which the documents were listed in 1967 have been retained, although it is difficult to discern the rationale of either the groups or the order of the documents within them.
