In 1874 a chapel was opened in Darracott Road, Pokesdown though worship had taken place in a private house from the 1860s. In 1907 a new church was opened in Seabourne Road. Due to increased congregations a new site was purchased in Southbourne and the new church in Southbourne Road opened in 1926.
