Sravana (July-August). A lady sits on a swing with two girls in attendance. Jaipur, c.1850. Mounted in an album (formerly Album 70); presented 21 April 1915. Gouache with gold, blue and pink or red borders. 155 by 92 mm; page 245 by 183 mm. Inscribed on yellow panel above miniature with five lines of text in nagari characters; on reverse a description based on the nagari text:' The Month of Shravun from the Bara Massa - The clouds are collecting - the Lightening is flashing, and the rain is about to fall in abundance - let no Lover leave his Mistress in such a Month.'.
