Administrative / biographical background
Geoffrey McGarry lived in Fulham from 1945, since age 22 (North End Crescent). McGarry had a long career as a service engineer for D. Napier and Sons, a British engineering company best known for luxury motor vehicles and aeroplanes. In later life, McGarry and his wife Elsie performed as semi-professional ballroom dancers, appearing in background roles in a number of theatre, film and television productions.
