The deposit, along with other material, had recently been donated to the Local Studies Department of Accrington Central Library. The photographs had been removed by the donor from several albums bought at sales. Photographs taken in the Accrington area have been retained by the library, and others relating to York County Hospital have been sent to York Central Library. The remainder constitute this deposit. No details are known.
