Lease.

By John prior of Wenlock to Thomas Butler perpetual vicar of Wenlock, Robert Madox and Richard Wilcocke of Burton, of the chapel of Burton with all profits etc. and also the tithes of all corn in the vills of Burton and Goosebradeley, with the tithes of wool and lambs in the capital messuages or fee farm of Burton; to Thomas, Robert and Richard for 63 years paying annually £3 13s 8d at the feasts of the Purification and St. Peter de Vincula in equal portions; if the rent shall be unpaid for 8 weeks after the stated times, the prior may re-possess the tithes etc. Further that the prior and convent of Wenlock have conceded to Thomas Butler that he shall receive all the offerings of his parish throughout his natural life, and all the burial dues, of all the chapels dependant on the mother church of Wenlock. He shall also keep in repair all the service books and provide bread and wine for the mass, for the daily celebration in the parish church of Wenlock and towards the end of Easter for a commemorative mass for the parishioners of Wenlock, and shall maintain two candles above the altar. The prior and convent of Wenlock have warranted all the tithes and offerings of the chapel with all appurtenances to Richard, Thomas, and Robert against all people. At the chapter of Wenlock.
