The casualty lists for the Bedfordshire Yeomanry R.A. (refs: X 468/144,163-4) reveal that Leslie Hart of 420 Battery was held at Japan I Camp, where he presumably died. His next-of-kin is given as Mr. J. Hart of 28, Undercliff Street, Barter End Road, Bradford. The 148th Field Regiment was captured by the Japanese on the fall of Singapore in February 1942.
