The printed Bill includes the coat of arms of Jamaica with the Latin motto ‘Indus Uterque Serviet Uni’ (translation: Both Indies shall serve one).

Provincial Grand Lodge, No. 1 was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge on 1 June 1796 to meet as No. 301 at the Masons' Hall, Port Royal Street, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. The Lodge was erased at the time of the union between the Antients' and Moderns' Grand Lodges to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813.
