Four prints mounted on card, with letterpress captions. There is also a printed titlepage and a short introductory text, which reads as follows:. The collections forwarded from all parts of India to the Exhibition of 1871 having, on their arrival, been found to require a much larger space than could be provided for them by Her Majesty's Commissioners, a special building was erected for their reception. In this Court, or Annexe, the collections referred to were arranged, with the exception of certain small groups distributed in the Exhibition Galleries. In addition to the large Central Hall, containing the collections forwarded by the Government of India, a series of small side-courts were added, for the sale of articles of bona fide Indian production. The accompanying photographs have been taken from different points of view in the Court. Process = Albumen prints.
