Probate copy will of John Jones of Oswestry.

He bequeaths property in Salatine purchased of Symon Water deceased and property in Rhandier, Oswestry and Llanvorda purchased of William Owen, Esq. Edward Davis, Humphrey Edwards and Michael Armstie clerk to George Chambers of Loppington gent. and Roger Trevor of Oswestry gent, in trust to pay £600 for portions of testators younger children, to his daughter Judeth £300 at age 22, to his daughter Luce £100 at age 20, to his son Jacob £100 at age 24, to his son John £100 at age 24; after to use of his son Isaac Jones for life and his eldest son and sons in succession, in default of sons to his heirs female, in default of any issue, to raise a further £300 to increase the younger children's portions to be paid within 3 years after Isaac's death, viz. £100 to Judith, Luce and John each, the rest to use of his son Jacob for life and sons in succession or heirs female, in default to use of his son John and heirs male or female, in default to right heirs of testator. If any children die, their portions to go to the rest of the younger children. He bequeathes all his property in Oswestry purchased of John Blodwell esq. and the residue of his personal estate to his wife Luce and son Isaac, executors, to sell them for payment of his debts and any overplus to the younger children.
