Christopher William Surrey, 'The York Gradual [Bodleian MS. Lat. Liturg. b.5]. With notes from the 'Journal of Theological Studies', and rotographs of pages and copies of portions of the original MS. in the Bodleian Library. MCMXX'. A copy of the York Gradual, containing the chants for the proper and ordinary of the mass as sung in the parish church of East Drayton, Nottinghamshire, in the 15th century. The copy is by Christopher William Surrey. With facsimiles of portions of the Bodleian manuscript and related papers. Included are a copy of an article by W. H. Frere, 'The newly-found York Gradual', from 'Journal of Theological Studies' July 1901 (pp. vii-xiv); an index to the contents of the York Gradual, as found in the present copy by Surrey (pp. xiv-xix); a letter to Surrey from W. H. Frere 12 June 1914 (p. xxii); text of the York Gradual interspersed with facsimiles of the Bodleian manuscript (pp. 1-98).
