Ref: 4096SR/4. It should only be necessary to overspeed the first of these rotors. The balanced compressor assembly, complete with dummy blade weights to DT.291567-71 is to be overspeeded in the following manner. 1 Measure the outside diameter at four equally spaced stations around the predetermined circumference on the 1st, 3rd & 5th stage discs. Note the room temperatures. 2 Set probes over the following to a clearance of 0.040. i) 1st stage dummy blade weight. ii) Spacing ring between 3rd & 4th stage blade weights. iii) 3rd stage dummy blade weight. iv) 5th stage dummy blade weight.
