Recital of lease and release of 24 and 25 March 1766 (1807/98)

Richard Betton by a codicil to his will dated 25 Feb last reciting that by his will dated 25 July 1764 he had given his 3 children Richard, Charles and Ann all the residue of his personal estate divided equally between them but since then had purchased from Thomas Medlicott his wife and son certain lands with part of this personal estate. He therefore gave the land to Amler as trustee and executor in trust for the benefit of the 3 children

Recital of lease and release 18 and 19 May last (807/112)

as to Edwards lands; and an indenture of 20 May last (sic, but recites indenture of 19 May 1767 (807/115)) Richard Betton died in June last, his will and codicil have been proved in the Prerogative court of the Archbp of Canterbury

Richard Betton party has contracted with Amler and the 2 younger children to purchase the fee simple of this property (subject to the mortgage to Smallman) for £440 of which he is to retain £146.13.5. as his share, pay another £146.13.4. to Charles and the remaining £146.13.4. to Amler as guardian and trustee for Ann.

Cons: £146,13.4. paid to Charles Betton and £146.13.4. paid to Amler Counterpart

Lease and release of the land specified in the release of 25 March 1766 and purchased of the Medlicotts; and the messuage and land specified in the release of 19 May last purchased of Smallman and Edwards and now mortgaged to Smallman, to hold to the use of Richard Betton his heirs and assigns, subject to that mortgage. Covenant by Amler that he has not encumbered the property. Covenant by Betton to idemnify Amler from any expense on account of the property.
