The Home and Hospital for Jewish Incurables was started in 1889 at Victoria Road, Hackney. In 1899 they took temporary accommodation at "The Berthons", Wood Street, Walthamstow prior to the move to a new purpose built Home and Hosptial, Tottenham High Road, Tottenham. (1901).
