Spoke to [Charles] Ellis about [P.B.] Hirsch's paper [X-ray scattering from coals]. Ellis rhinks the paper should go to the Royal [Society]. He was not sure whether it should be communicated by the Cavendish [Laboratory] or by the Coal Board. Comments on this and asks what Taylor and Hirsch would prefer.
