6th Jan. 1859. Letter from [ ] from Free Trade Hall, Manchester, enquiring the price of the Hall per night for lectures, and its capacity, and whether it can be obtained for Madame Lola Montez (Countess of Landfeld) on Thursday, Jan 20th.

9th Jan. 1859. Chas.Cotton from Post Office, Shrewsbury to the Keeper of the Music Hall, Chester, asking the charge for two nights for the use of the Music Hall and what engagements have been booked for the next fortnight or three weeks so that he may avoid any clash.

3rd Feb. 1859. Edwd. Cuzner from 10 Abbey Street, to Edwd. Roberts at the Exchange, sending the address of Mr. Scarisbrick as 3 Canning Street, Liverpool.

5th Feb. 1859. Jno. Wimperis (?) from the Lead Works, Chester, to Edwd. Roberts, concerning the terms for the Music Hall for a lecture on Monday evening, 4th April, for the Committee of the Young Men's Christian Assoc. (?).

21st Feb. 1859. Wm. M Call (for Mr. Carter) from Liverpool to the Secretary of the Music Hall, Chester, asking terms for a two day exhibition there. The reply is to be sent to Mr. Carter, Mechanics Institute, Halifax.

23rd Feb. 1859. J.Heneage Carter from Halifax. He fears the price is too high.

4th March 1859. M.A.Mather (? Jn. A. Walker) from Abbey Green to E.S.Roberts, notifying him that the Ladies Bible Society met last Wednesday in a room at the Music Hall and wish to continue using it.

21st March 1859. C & A Double, Joint Stock Companies Registration Agency, London, to E.S.Roberts, Esq., Secretary. They have filed the return of the Annual List and Summary of the Chester Music Hall Company at the Registration Office of Joint Stock Companies and debited the same to Mr. Morris.

21st April 1859. Letter from ... Campfield, from Liverpool, having received no reply re the Hall, he has given up the idea of coming to Chester during Race Week.

24th June 1859. George Farrall to the Town Council, giving notice that he will quit the yard he holds of them in Walls Lane on or before 25th Dec. 1859.

27th Aug. 1859. .. Colman for Woodin, booking the Hall for Mr. Woodin for 22nd Sept.

24th Sept. 1859. J. D. Morris, harpist, from Falcon Inn, Bangor, to the Keeper of the Music Hall, asking terms for a harp concert as he intends to visit Chester on his way to Liverpool.

30th Sept. 1859. Edwd. Cuzner from 10 Abbey Street, to E. Roberts, Esq., concerning a tentative booking for Mr. & Mrs. Howard Paul to come to Chester between 19th and 22nd October.

20th Dec. 1859. Edwd. Evans from Crypt Chambers, Chester, to E. S. Roberts, postponing the proposed meeting until Tuesday as the estimate of repairs to the Hall and organ cannot be obtained in time for tomorrow.

29th Dec. 1869. W. Edwards, agent, from 162 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, asking what is the rent for the Music Hall for three days and whether it is free on 30th, 31st and 1st Feb. - or on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Feb. as Mastington's friend thinks of visiting Chester with his American and musical entertainment.

n.d. C. Colman for Mr. Woodin, offering 2. 10 for the use of the Music Hall for 9th Aug., as he thinks the rent asked 4.4.0 is too high.

n.d. Letter from ... Bridge Street Manchester, asking for the Music Hall for August 9th.

10th July, n.d. C. Colman for Mr. Woodin, enclosing a P.O. for £1 as a deposit in part payment of the rental for the Music Hall for Mr. Woodin for Monday Aug. 9th.
