From; John Carter of Coventry, gent, Francis Bentley of Coventry, widow, Joseph Bentley of Coventry, brass founder to the Reverend Thomas Warden of Exhall in the County of the City of Coventry, clerk and Joseph Warden of Pailton, Warws., surgeon of (1) property conveyed in PA 171/14/1 (2) Two pieces of land alloted to the devisees of William Bailey, deceased, from the enclosure of Exhall Common. Thomas Warden to pay John Carter 10s, re the will of 1795 and conveyance [lease and release] of the same date to the vast property in Thomas Warden for the remainder of 1,000 years. The above property is to be disposed of by Joseph Warden, as Thomas Warden shall direct, subject to the freehold inheritance of the premises to uses levied to protect it from various changes. Deeds recited (1) 15 October 1795. Mortgage by demise for 1,000 years from George Arnold to Thomas James. (2) PA 171/14/1. (3) 16 September 1820. Indenture of assignment from; Henrietta Jane Arnold, Henry Moore and Edward Morrison to Francis Bentley, Mathew Lole, William Wright and John Carter for the residue of 1,000 years, vested in John Carter, for Frances Bentley, Mathew Lole and William Wright and their heirs and cestius quo use to go with the freehold reversion of the property and protect the same. (4) Agreement that Frances and Joseph Bentley convey the above property to Thomas Warden by 23-24 March 1838 Conveyance [lease and release] for £1,500.
