Description

Annual returns giving the names of members of the Artillery Lodge [Antients] and general correspondence relating to running of the lodge. Includes correspondence and minutes of the Provincial Grand Lodge concerning charges brought against the Artillery Lodge. Years 1795, 1798 - 1803 and 1805 are not extant.

Administrative / biographical background

The Artillery Lodge, also known as No. 2 Provincial under the Provincial Grand Lodge of Jamaica, was established in 1790. In 1790 the lodge was held in the Royal Train of Artillery at an unknown location in Port Royal, Jamaica, West Indies. In 1803 the lodge met at the Port Royal Barracks, Port Royal, Jamaica. The lodge lapsed about 1805.
