9 William Harrys of Tenham, gent., shall be attached for good behaviour at the information and petition of Christopher Hudson, borsholder of Tenham for various misdemeanours.
10 Thomas Lorkyn of Burham, labourer, to find sureties for good behaviour.
11 Thomas Brattle of Yalding, labourer, John Chownyng of Yalding, labourer, and Thomas Pattenden of East Peckham, butcher, to be attached and committed to gaol for keeping victualling [houses] without licence.

Unless Thomas Turner answers to the information laid against him by Mark Savage, at the next session to be held at Canterbury it shall be enrolled that he says nothing, the defendant shall be charged at the session held at Canterbury on 13th January, 1600/1, and if default shall be made he shall be solemnly charged by the court, which default shall be recorded by the court.
At this session Thomas Wall takes as an apprentice William Cooke, the son of [blank] Cook, widow, for eight years from midsummer last to train him as a shoemaker.
William Bridges of Staplehurst, yeoman, appears on attachment to answer to the contribution of 8d. weekly for the maintenance of two of his daughter's children at Sturry, agrees to carry out the order and hands over to the clerk of the peace for the times past until Michaelmas 47s. 4d.

12 As Daniel Brooker, an infant, and son of Daniel Broker [sic] late of Yalding, deceased, was born at Yalding and afterwards, by provision of Daniel, the father, nursed at Yalding for twenty weeks and then nursed at Brasted for two months, during which time the father died leaving no means to support the child, and by order of Thomas Potter, esquire, a J. P. the child was sent to Yalding in accordance with the statute made in the last parliament, but the parishioners of Yalding refused to keep the child and sent it back to Brasted, contrary to the provision, and it is now ordered that the child shall be removed back to Yalding.
Special session at Maidstone on Thursday, 8th January, 1600/01, before Thomas Fludd, John Leveson, William Sedley, knights, John Richers, George Rivers, Nicholas Gilbourne, Lawrence Washington and Robert Bosseville, esquires.
Jury impannelled:- William Short, Thomas Short, John Goldsmythe, Thomas Kempe, Francis Stransham, Richard Pope, Thomas Rabbett, William Snatt, John May, George Charlton, Henry Gregory, Robert Frenche, John Masters, Edward Laurence and present
1 George Savell and John Fowle, both of Maidstone, fullers, on 24th November, 1600, at Loose, assaulted Henry Lanes and wounded him breaking "the Cannon bone" of the said Henry.
Writ of venire facias for them to appear at the next session at Canterbury on Tuesday after Epiphany next [7th January, 1601] to answer. On which day George and John do not appear. Sheriff returns nichil habent therefore writ of capias to have them at the next session at Maidstone on Tuesday after the close of Easter next [21st April, 1601] to answer.

2 Robert Hooke alias Curlinge of Offham, husbandman, Richard Bathe of Meopham, husbandman, and Richard Wilkyns of West Malling, shoemaker, riotously assembled with other disturbers of the peace, armed with staffs tipped with iron and other arms, on 16th December, 1600, at Ford in Wrotham, and assaulted and wounded Henry Lorkyn and Richard Sparke.
[In margin] Robert and Richard Wilkyns, taken, appeared and submitted themselves to the court. Their fines fixed by the justices on 21st April, 1601, at £4 for Robert and 2s. for Richard Wilkyns. Estreated against both.
