The collection comprises Hutchins personal and professional correspondence with fellow botanists Dawson Turner and James Townsend Mackay (1805-1814), who resided in Yarmouth, England and Dublin, Ireland respectively. Includes letters sent to the Hutchins family, after Ellen Hutchins death, from H W Lett (1914). Includes volume of watercolour illustrations by Ellen Hutchins of algae found and identified in Cork, Ireland (1808-1811).
