A Faculty is granted by the ordinary or his chancellor after application to the court, in this case the court of the dean of the Peculiars.
Apart from the first volume the entries include faculties and copies of exchange of glebe, leases and endowments, unions and divisions, licences for new districts, consecrations, and for parish clerks, lecturers, curates, schoolmasters, surrogates and officials.
