Coloured interior view of an ironing room in on e of the Dr Barnardo's Girls' Village Homes in Barkingside, Essex. Girls were trained in domestic service, and they were accepted from infancy to the age of seventeen. Almosy everything in the picture has been coloured, and young women can be seen folding laundry or at benches ironing clothes. Not postmarked or stamped.
