born 22/6/1891 at Ayr. Father - Timber Merchant. Educ: Ayr Academy. Served 19 Kings 23/8/1914 - 31/8/1915 and disch to join Inns of Court OTC Sept 1915. To 22 Res Bn, Kings and fracrured right fibula in motor cycle acc 23/4/1916. 31/1/1917 at Mil Hosp Ripon - now fit for service.
Casualty Form: 12/5/1917 to BD Camier (MGC) from UK. 19/5/1917 joined 93 Coy in field. 26/5/1917 adm Hosp. 2/6/1917 evac to 42 CCS - phimosis (for circumcision). 30/5/1917 to UK. Address in England: 11 Hollis Rd, Harrogate. Medical Board 11/6/1917, Caxton Hall, SW - operation wound almost healed. Fit for light duty 1 month, Fit for Home Duty 3 months. At Officers Conv Hosp - Windermere - boils, face, neck, arm - to remain at hosp 2 months.
To Grantham Sept 1917 in hosp again: dyspnoea and general debility.
Died 19/2/1919 at 42 Watergate, Grantham, of influenza and pneumonia, aged 28. Father (William Logan) present at death.
Demobilized 6/2/1919 from Harrowby Camp - certified by wife (Edith Helen Logan) - claim for gratuity.
Letters of Administration: grantee Edith Helen Whitwell (or Logan) executrix - Gross Value £703/15/8d, 3/11/1919;
